About the Cat House

What is Cat House?

Cat house is the project of the Slovenian Society for the Protection of Animals in Need in cooperation with various veterinary and animal protection experts, the English organization Cats Protection, and dedicated individuals. It was founded at the beginning of 2009 in order to improve the conditions of abandoned and feral cats.

In 2009 and 2010, the project intends to:

• Open two Cat House shelters in Slovenia,
• Organize volunteers in the animal protection field,
• Carry out active education,
• Open a shop and a web store,
• Open a clinic for feral cats,
• Actively involve itself in the areas of veterinary legislation,
• Persecute animal protection law violators consistently.

We will be actively involved with assisting volunteers and temporary carers - volunteers, working to help animals and adopt united standards for everyone (regarding diet, veterinary care and finding appropriate adopters).

We are open to suggestions, especially regarding organizing volunteers and collecting funds to keep the Cat House going.
