Adoption conditions and procedure
Think before deciding to adopt a cat
- Are you ready to accept a cat as a new family member?
- Are you ready to take care of it for 15 to 20 years - their natural life span?
- Are you ready for the new expenses related to the new family member?
- Do you know who will take care of the cat if you are away?
If you are still interested in adopting a cat, think of what kind of a cat you would like to adopt, read the adoption conditions and contact us.
Adoptable cats
- kittens, up to 7 months of age,
- young cats from 7 to 12 months of age,
- adult cats from 1 to 8 years of age,
- older cats from 8 years of age onwards,
- cats with special needs.
All cats adopted through the Cat House project are:
- healthy and inspected by a veterinarian (except cats with chronic diseases, when adopting those, you receive all instructions on how to care for a cat with a chronic disease),
- of adoptable age (all kittens are at least 12 weeks or older, which is also the minimal legal age to adopt a kitten),
- treated against external and internal parasites (against works, fleas and scabs),
- inoculated against infectious diseases (cat distemper, herpes and Calicivirus),
- microchipped (upon adoption, your information is entered into the registry and you become a legal owner of your cat)
- spayed or neutered.
Necessary conditions for cat adoption
